Kaï, your AI assistant

An AI that runs on your device

Kaï is your built-in AI assistant, running 100% on your device. It helps you build your day, estimate how long tasks will take and break big tasks into steps — without ever deciding for you.

How to do it

  1. 1 Turn Kaï on in Settings › My Kaï assistant. On first launch, a small model downloads onto your device.
  2. 2 From My Day, tap “Plan with Kaï”: it builds your day from your pending tasks, the urgent ones first, around your fixed slots.
  3. 3 Rearrange as you like, pin a task to lock it in place, or regenerate the plan — you're always in control.
  4. 4 On a task, ask Kaï to estimate the duration or break it into steps, then confirm the result.

Tips

  • Kaï adapts to your energy: 2 tasks in survival mode, 3 when focused, 5 at full energy.
  • Add your preferences in “Notes for Kaï” (200 characters max) — it factors them into every suggestion.
  • Duration estimates appear after about twenty timed sessions, once Kaï knows you well enough.
  • It can pull small tasks from the Brain Dump to fill gaps, and treats your appointments and routines as fixed slots.

Related settings

  • Turn each Kaï helper on — duration estimates, next-task picking, day planning and task breakdown each toggle separately (Settings → My Kaï assistant).
  • Include the Brain Dump in the plan — let Kaï pull small tasks from the Brain Dump to fill gaps.
  • Breathing room between tasks — the gap Kaï leaves between two tasks (5 min by default).
  • Notes for Kaï — describe how you work (200 characters) to personalise its suggestions.
  • AI model — manage the model downloaded on your device and check its status.

Good to know

Local-first: Kaï runs entirely on your device — no API, no server, no logs. On the free plan, daily quotas apply (e.g. 1 plan and 10 estimates per day); Premium unlocks them with no limit.
